1. Scope and acceptance

By accessing or using renterdiy.click (the “Site”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Site or place any request.

2. What the Site provides

The Site supports (i) comparison/selection of rental-apartment smart kit options and (ii) submitting requests to receive information and/or assistance related to installation preparation. Any kits, products, and services you may order are subject to the applicable product/service terms and the provider’s terms.

The Site may not be the same entity as the kit/product provider or installer. We do not assume responsibility for third-party products or services other than as expressly stated.

3. User responsibilities

• You must provide accurate information when submitting requests or contact forms.
• You must comply with your lease agreement, building rules, and any landlord/management approvals required for installation or changes.
• You are responsible for ensuring the kit is compatible with your apartment’s permitted installation conditions (e.g., power, wiring, mounting, radio environment) and any applicable laws or standards.
• You must not misuse the Site (including attempts to disrupt, scrape, or bypass access controls).

4. Installation qualification; no promise of results

Any guidance we provide through the Site is for informational purposes. We do not guarantee that any kit can be installed in your specific rental unit, that approvals will be obtained, or that installation will be possible or effective.

Installation may require a qualified professional and/or landlord permission. You must obtain any necessary consent and ensure installation is performed safely and appropriately.

5. No guarantee of security or privacy outcomes

Smart kits may involve data transmission, authentication, and remote access features. We do not guarantee that use of any kit will prevent unauthorized access, data loss, or security incidents. You are responsible for implementing reasonable security practices (e.g., strong passwords, device updates, and secure configurations) consistent with the kit/provider instructions.

To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for security events arising from factors outside our control.

6. Ordering, requests, and communications

When you submit a request, you may receive responses by email or other methods. We may contact you to clarify needs or provide information. Response time and availability are not guaranteed.

If you proceed with any purchase or service, the final contract will be governed by the provider’s applicable terms at the time of purchase.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, renterdiy.click shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Site.

We are not responsible for (i) third-party products/services, (ii) your compliance with lease/building rules, or (iii) installation outcomes, approvals, compatibility, or security results.

If we are deemed liable under applicable law, our total liability shall be limited to the amount you paid to us for the relevant matter in the period preceding the event giving rise to liability, unless otherwise required by law.

8. Privacy, cookies, and terminal identifiers (APPI)

We handle personal-related information under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (個人情報の保護に関する法律) (“APPI”). Cookie and terminal identifiers may be treated as “personal-related information” depending on circumstances.

We provide transparency through our Privacy Policy and manage cookies/identifiers consistent with APPI requirements and applicable guidance. Please review our Privacy Policy for details.

9. Specified Commercial Transactions Act (Japan) notices

If we sell rental-apartment smart kits online (mail-order/Internet sales), the following provider identification and notice items are provided as required for Specified Commercial Transactions.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with the effective date shown where available. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
